Hey guys,

quick question.. sometimes I'll plug a drive into one of my two USB ports and the drive will start spinning (getting power), but nothing will mount..

I'll unplug it, try a 2nd time, nothing.. 3rd.. typically.. or try the other usb port and it'll work.

Or am I just dealing with a temperamental drive?

I just used the same port to move 40gb of info the other day, and it's working right now.

Am I just being a bit paranoid?

Have you tried a different USB device? It could be the drive. Try other USB devices on that port and see if you get a similar symptom.

Make a backup of what is on the drive, then head to Disk Utility and re-format it, could help, long shot but you never know.
