The above iBook i have just received will not boot up completely! All 4 battery lights are lite, the light around the power adapter plug is lite and changes color when charging or power button is pushed, and it chimes a sound a couple of moments after power button actuation, i can here the HDD running, the caps lock and num lock lights will light up, but the screen is black and never flickers any light at all, the cd tray will not open.
I have had it on for 30 min. now and i still here the HDD and the left side palm rest in warm. I have not heard a fan come on.
I searched the forum for similar problems and found talk of resetting the pmu and prom, how is this done if it might help in my case.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.
