MacBook battery stopped charging

My macbook stopped charging its battery.
it simply says 0% - > Not charging

Anything I can do about it?

Before you sprout for a new battery, make sure the MagSafe charger adapter is working right. Having to buy either one is expensive but having to buy both is even more so.
