Help with ubisoft

Hey i recently bought and then downloaded splinter cell conviction. however whenever i try to play it i can never seem to connect to the "master servers" of ubisoft. anyone have any suggestions? my laptop meets all the requirements i know of:
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 320M
Type: GPU
and i obviously have an internet connection. Ive tried reinstalling, Ive looked through some files and nothing stands out, also Ive tried internet through airport and ethernet.
any help would be appreciated

Turn off the firewall.

Uninstall any anti-virus, PeerGuardian or other similar apps you may have.

Okay, thanks, I did that and it still says it can't connect. In the failure report thing, it is thread 15 that crashes. Thread 15 deals with the proxy I believe.

I saw how to change the proxy address or whatever it is for a pc I just dont know what to do with my mac...

I would really love this game, but don't think it would run that well. Have the same spec as you.

Yeah man. Just google mactree games. They have a great site for mac games. That's where I got it from.

how much?

And how many FPS do you get? - haven't you never gotten any problems or bugs with it?
