• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

How so I back up my movies in Project Library in iMovie. I can't seem to find the folder in which they reside.

Any suggestions?

What OS are you running ?
If you can, give Time Machine a go...... set it and forget it.
You won't have to worry about any locations of folders and files.

I'm running 10.6.7. I prefer to do my backup manually. I just need to know where the folder resides . . .

Thanks . . .

Depends if you have done 'organize library'. I assume you are looking for movies that you can access via iTunes. So go to user/music/iTunes/iTunes Music/ and you should have a folder in here titled "Movies" should be there.

Thery are in Home Folder>Movies>iMovie Projects>Your Movie Name. However as well as backing those up, you will need backups of all the associated Events as well.
