Having set up a new MacMini with Snow Leopard and transferring files/programs from Panther on my old computer, I get 2 messages on startup that the Startup Folder is disabled or lacks authorization (?).

I can do without Startup folder; any suggestions on Terminal commands to do so?

Clarification: message says:"Insecure Startup item disabled ...does not have proper security settings."

It just means that there is something in the StartUp folder that is incompatible with Snow Leopard.

In any case, check your Mac HD/Library/StartupItems/ folder and remove anything in there that might be causing it.
There isn't anything in there by default so you can't go wrong, it might just be some applications helper app that is outdated.
It should tell you what file/app is the problem in the error msg also.
