Just setting up my new 15" MBP i7 and noticed that depending on which program I'm running the graphics card changes and I lose my desktop picture.

My graphics cards are the following:
AMD Radeon HD 6750M
Intel HD Graphics 3000

I use the GFXCardStatus app to monitor the graphics cards and though it doesn't tell me which card is running it tells me if it is running Integrated, Discrete, or Dynamic - whatever that means(what does that mean).

Any idea what is going on and how I can keep my desktop picture from disappearing each time my graphics card changes?

Thanks

Ok, this is pissing me off. Each time the graphics card changes settings(which it does automatically, or is it the GFX app), I lose my desktop picture and it defaults to a plain blue color. I can change it back to my desktop, but as soon as I open a program that changes my graphics card settings, it goes back to the blue screen. Any ideas?
