Hello,

I inserted a dvd, but now it refuses to eject with the note 'i must quit application and try again' but there is no application running. I then went into Disk Utilities and tried to eject there but it then gives the message 'disk is unmountable'

what a headache, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

cheers.

restart the computer, it will usually just pop out on its own but you can try holding down the mouse click upon rebooting to force eject

Just place the unwanted item in the trash and then empty the trash.
