Sometimes even Geeks just want to be able to do something very easily.
It doesn't get much easier to consume content than using an iPad and Gestures.

Meh. Me thinks that the Woz is a bit stuck in the past and likes to indulge in nostalgia far too often. The "tablet" as it were, is not only for the Average Joe. Well, it doesn't have to be, anyway. Perhaps the iPad is more akin to Steve's example of an device that only "normal people" will take to, whereas an tablet with a more open OS (Android) will have more options for tinkering for the geeks out there.

And don't think that just because the iPad or other tablets out there seem underpowered, that they can't be used to hack with. Technically, they're more powerful than a lot of the boxes built more than a decade ago.

IMO, what he said can only be described as a very ignorant generalization. I could care less about his status.
