Hi Guys
Just wanted to share with all of you out there my experience after spilling a drink on my MBP 2010. i7 500GB 7200 8GB
Yes .. kick me in the ... I know .. I spilled a drink on my babe MBP the other day (ab a week ago)
After a dry-dry session I have manage to make it work again. uffffff
Few days later I found out that few LEDs under my keyboard don't work .. keyboard was working fine and so the laptop
I decided to check then other components .. I found that the fire-wire and mini display connectors worked but only when the plug was 2 millimetres out of the edge.
I also opened the laptop I cleaned the most of the interior (there was no liquid just dust)
.. after all and I booked a meeting with the Genius Bar in my local Apple Store to see what options are for me.
I need to say my MBP has been bought as a student laptop so it has an Apple Care out of the box (for free).
I did a chat at Genius Bar and I said I don't know what is happening but I have some issues with the laptop .. and I suggest him it was some liquid but I don't remember any accident related to spilling any liquid on it.
Can you believe that the Genius Bar guy looked inside the laptop .. examined it and decided to repair it all at no cost????
Full logic board and the keyboard have been replaced the very same day.
I know the Apple service is one of if not the best one out there .. but this kind of service is out of any any range.
I did not want to lay so I really suggest a liquid accident .. and still he agreed to repair it.
I will never leave Apple ..
