Hi all, i have recently purchased a macbook however recently it was sitting on a chair and fell of whilst the screen was open, as a result of this, the hinge has been forced forward. So now when i close my mac it does not shut properly, because the screen display overlaps the body. Are there any solutions to this apart from seeing apple? cheers

The entire hinge area will have to be replaced and it's not something you might want to attempt yourself. Have a look at the detailed instructions at iFixit: The free repair manual. And of course you'll need to purchase the new part.
