MacBook Air Evolving Into Mainstream Product? - Mac Rumors
I am personally interested in getting a MacBook Air, so I read up a bit about it. Here's another interesting link comparing the three current types of MacBook 13":
MacBook Pro vs. MacBook Air vs. white MacBook: Which 13-inch Apple laptop should you buy? | Crave - CNET
My personal prediction (wild speculation, rather) for this summer is that Apple will stop the white MacBook line. The MacBook Pro stays the top of the line and the best for performance and expansion options. The MacBook line will be replaced by the MacBook Air line, which will get an upgrade to Sandy Bridge. There will be more options, with the lower spec ones acting as the offering for the lower side of the market (replacing the MacBook) and the higher spec ones for mobile power users. The main difference between the two ranges, then, is that the Air range doesn't offer the expansion options of the Pro.
