It took a bit to set up my email on my iPad but after copying the same setting from my iPhone it's working.

However I can only receive emails can't send them and even went to the apple store and they could not figure out the problem..

I have tried different outgoing settings with no luck.

Anyone have a cox email account with issues on iOS devices?
Thanks

Does it throw up an error message or just constantly trying to send the email?

Cheers

Yes it does
In fact depending on the settings various error messages pop up

Have you contacted Cox? Also, did you follow the exact instructions on Cox's site for how to setup your email client?

I've got Cox also and I know they're pretty thorough. Give them a call if you get stuck.

I had the same exact problem. I don't know if it will work for you, but this worked for me.

Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendar: click your Cox Account Information: click Account: click Mail: click STMP: click Primary Server: Look under Outgoing Mail Server and make sure your password is showing. It was not in my case and that was the problem.

Wow that worked!!

Thank u very much..

I wasn't using those settings mainly because my iPhone wasn't and outgoing email was working for that device.

Now all i have to deal with is the occasional "cannot get mail cause account is open on another device" message since I have both iPhone and iPad fetching mail, but that I can live with

Thanks again
