iPhoto sharing

Is there a way to share photos from one user account to another? I am in charge of uploading the pics to our mac. I want my wifes user account and mine to have the same photos. how can i point to my pics?

ok... after playing around for a bit... I have a few questions.
I got it to work accross my network but its too slow. so i have created a image on the wifes account but i cant find it after i log her out and log in with my account?? I have the image located under /user/shared but when I try to point to it with iphoto it says its locked... any ideas
