Will iTunes music on USB 2.0 ext hard dr play at normal speed with 1.01 port?

Under my Mac Mini System Profiler USB Composite Device section I got this info:
Version: 1.01
Speed: Up to 1.5 Mb/sec

I need to free up space on my internal hard drive and thought I would just put my iTunes music on an external hard drive. After shopping around, all the ext hard drives seem to be 2.0 or 3.0. If I put all my music on one of these external hard drives, will my Mac Mini play it at regular speed or will there be an issue? Thanks in advance

No issue.. 2.0 I think is the transfer speed of the usb device.. For best performance and no lag, I think your best bet is with 2.0 or above. FYI you can find info on the net and I think in the music part of the forum as to how you can save a copy of your music (and iphoto) on an external only and not on your internal drive. That's how I have mine set up.
