Hello,

I am trying to install Leopard 10.5 on my Quickk Sliver G4 933 mhz. It appears that i can format the drive ok, but when i go to the actuall install part of the process i see the hard drive with a big red Exclamation Point ! ! ! that followw with the caption " You cant install this OS on this volume, to enable installation on this volume open the disk utility from the menu and repartition this as a "Apple Partition Map" Note u will lose all data on this disk by repartitioning it. Dont know how to do this or what it means ???!!! I checked the requirements for Leopard and my Quicksilver seems to meet all requirements. Last question when i am in the Utility mode, i see what appears to be to representations of my hard drive on on top of the other. Which one do i format??? i tried formating both but get the same results. I yelp for help, please????????

In Disk Utility, on the Partition tab - you need to click on the Options button to set it as Apple Partition Map. Then proceed with partitioning and formatting.

First, is it a retail disc (black)? Or is it a disc that came with another Mac? If the latter (gray) it's not going to work.
