This may be a silly question (Sorry if it is) but will any keyboard cleaner work on my keyboard?

I am a bit worried about the metallic part being damaged by the wrong cleaner.

I am in the London UK if anyone is suggesting shops.

I avoid all cleaners like these personally. Nothing on my keyboard that a once over with the hoover brush (for bits under the keys) and a baby wipe won't clear.

when i clean the keyboard, I take the keys off, and wipe them with a cloth, and use a paint brush for the underpart (wireless aluminium keyboard).

it might be a bit OTT, but it gets the job done! :)

I use 70% rubbing alcohol solution and soft cloth - works a real treat... All grime comes off leaving the acrylic casing and keycaps virtually as new again!

And here is a App now so you dont have to shut down or have the keys writing where ever whenever whilst cleaning your Mac, and kudos out to IvanLasston for it. He linked for another App and there this was sitting. Check it and ALL your keys are usless untill you click it again.
Love it and simple

That's a mighty useful app indeed! Might encourage me to clean my keyboard more often!
