Good afternoon everyone,
I'm having issues downloading stuff off of the Mac App Store and I don't know if this is just Apple's way or if there is something wrong with my machine.
I have purchased and am trying to download the Xcode from the App store onto my mac-mini. I have ensured it all patched up but my speed is abysmal. Currently it's going to take me 28 days to download a 4 gig file.
I have a 15mbps internet connection but anytime I download anything from the App store or if I use my linux box to download from the apple.com my speed starts out great and the next thing I know I'm down to 12 k per second. If I download from other sites I don't have this issue, is this just the way that Apple does things? If so how does anyone ever get anything?
I am behind a firewall, is there a port or something I need open to deal with this?
If anyone can shed light onto why this is happening I'd be thrilled.
Thanks
