Printing from mac mini onto a windows 7 workgroup printer

Hi, i am totally new to mac so go gentle on me please... I am trying to print from my mac mini to a printer in a windows 7 workgroup. i have been researching and have tried a few different suggestions but i still get printing error.
can anyone point me in a step by step approach to solve this riddle. nothing seems to work, excuse the noobity of my question moving the printer would be too easy lol!

Hi,

If the Windows printer that you have does not have a Mac OSX driver from the printer vendor, then you can use the solution that I have created a tutorial about. I use Win 7 and an old Windows only printer, however if you follow the steps you should be printing from the Mac Mini in no time.
