New Battery for Late 2007 Macbook 13" White

Hi All,

I think my MacBook needs a new battery. I've had a look on the Apple site store and they seem a bit pricey on there.

Any recommendations as to alternatives. Want to pay a bit less if possible. Seen a few places but always good to get other peoples experiences before buying

I've just replaced the battery in my '06 MBP with one from OWC. Am pretty sure they will ship to England - I know a lot of our Aussie friends order from them.

This is my 3rd battery and while I've only had it for about 3 months now, I can already tell it seems to be holding up better and is giving me longer up times than either of the 2 Apple batteries that have been in it.

That's great to hear! Some of those replacement batteries on e-Bay usually don't hold up as well.

I'm getting about 4 hours on this battery with just regular browsing. The Apple batteries never gave me much more than 3 hours. Replaced the 1st one when it got down to 1 1/2 hours and kept the 2nd one until it was down to 1 hour.

The 2 Apple batteries never showed max capacity equal to original capacity, even when new. This OWC battery is now sitting at ~105% capacity. These are newly engineered batteries they're carrying from NuPower.

It took them longer to get out than they anticipated and I waited for 4 months for mine. So far, am glad I waited instead of getting another from Apple. They did give me a decent discount for waiting so long also.
