Hello, I just had a quick question regarding my brand new 13-inch macbook pro. I recently purchased the newly released macbook about a month ago, and recently I've been experiencing a strange clicking sound when I tap the bottom right side of the computer (right under the directional arrows and to the right of the track pad). I also hear it when I pick it up and occasionally if I tap on the left side of the computer. It's just a click and happens usually every time I pick it up or tap it. Does anybody know what this could be? Or is anybody else having this issue? It doesn't effect the computer itself but It can get annoying.

What you are hearing is actually a safety measure, where the HDD head is parking, it is intended to happen when a sudden jolt or fall occurs to protect you hard drive! (which is located to the right of the trackpad and below the directional keys).

Hope this helps

Never understood why people tap the bottom right side of a computer :)

Simon is right, it is a safety measure built into the hard disk.

Haha...I know what you mean. It actually happened when I dropped my phone on there. I heard the noise, then I tapped it to see if it did it again.
