Best place to store videos and movies?

I've got quite the collection of short movies, clips, and full-length movies on some of my old Windows hard drives. Where would be a good place to store them? The videos folder under my user account or should I create a new one?

I would personally store them in the "Movies" folder in your home directory, this is where most OSX apps look for video clips by default anyway.

if you have a lot of movie files, why don't you buy an external drive and dedicate it to finished projects, clips, films etc etc. That way you don't unnecessarily use valuable space on your internal drive.
