Not sure if this is the place to ask this and if its not, please redirect me.
Has anyone seen where their the "administrator" rights get switched to a different user? Today, my sone became the administrator and I became a managed account. Its like they were flip flopped. I asked my 9 year old son about it and he doesn't recall switching them.

I've never heard of this but you can change it back.

System Preferences
Accounts (under system)
Click "Allow user to administrate this computer"
Unclick it for your son's account
Click the lock

And change the password whilst you are at it to keep him out!

Um, no he can't. Not if he's now a "managed user" and the son is the administrator.

Nine years old -- I have to say that raises a red flag with me ... this kid may know more about what he's doing than he's letting on ... :)

Get the admin password for the admin account and then switch them back. To be blunt, I really don't think the machine did this "by itself."
