iBook ejecting disk help please

My iBook keeps ejecting dvds but plays audio cd's is there a fix anyone knows for this please ?

Not all iBooks have DVD ROMs. Are you sure that yours does?

No I have just discovered that it is just a CD rom reader; is it possible to boot from pen drive?

No. Your iBook requires a firewire device in order to boot from it. A pen drive or USB external device will not work.

If I bought a firewire which I think is just a wire is it ? could I boot from my macbook pro dvd ?
