Hey all! I'm trying to downgrade my iphone 4 from 4.3 to 4.2.1 and following redmondpie, I went into /etc/ and pasted something into my host file, but it did not work.

Now I'm afraid that my host file is not correct, as I may have deleted an extra line or two.

Can anyone confirm if this is the correct text needed in this file? At this point, I just want my mac back to normal. Thanks!

Here's mine:

##
# Host Database
#
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
##
127.0.0.1 localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1 localhost
fe80::1%lo0 localhost

The last line shouldn't be there but it doesn't matter anyway since it's been commented out with #.
