When I have my MacBook Pro on my Windows 7 partition, it does not sleep when I close the lid so it wastes lots of power. Is there a setting to change this?

I'm not in Windows 7 at the moment but check Control Panel, Power Saver settings. Also check the Boot Camp control panel settings. You should be able to access BC directly by clicking on the small diamond that resides in the System Notification area.

In the Power saving settings there is an option called "What to do when the led closes" or something :b
