Hey guys, since this morning I have a 1.5 inch part of my MB screen thats gone dark with the colours all displaying in negative. I tried everything and cannot think what the issue is. When I do a screen shot it does not show because its actually the display thats the problem. Any ideas how to fix this?

If you took a screenshot and it appears normal, you can assume the problem is with the LCD display itself. Have you recently dropped your MacBook, bumped the screen, or had another accidental mishap?

If your MacBook is not under warranty, the fix is to replace the display.
