Sitesucker is pretty good. There are probably some free alternatives but those will require some digging.

i use firefox as my web browser. you can save the site you're working on by going to File>Save Page As> then whatever format you want. Quite useful if you want to view sites offline

Note that Firefox and Safari can save the web page you're viewing but not all the site's pages without doing them one by one. The program suggested by user Virgeist can save the entire site which may be what the OP is wanting.

Safari and Opera can save web archives which are single files that contain all the content from one page. Quite handy if you need to bring it from place to place.
