Hello,

My roommate owns a MBP i5, 2010 version.
He left his MBP connected to his TV via VGA while we went grocery shopping and to ball hockey (approx. 5 hours)

When we returned, the screen was blank...it was black but you could tell the screen was on. He restarted the MBP and a bunch of his programs are missing, as well some important files...

any idea what happened?

No, he locks his room every time he leaves.

This all seems really weird, I seriously doubt the VGA connection has anything to do with it...but I figured I would add that information anyway.

Has anyone had issues with the MBP's screen going blank and losing data/programs?

His Office is just gone, completely disappeared...we even went into finder and searched for it...nothing.

Very odd.
