Hi,

Are you trying to access data from an old user account?
What version of OS X are you running?

Hi

By default - OS X will not allow users to view each others folders (Except a public folder) for security reasons. You could change the permissions on the folder though. Are you not able to login to the user account any more?

What error message do you get when logging into the account?

the account is gone with all files (pic, vid, music)

i am the only one using the machine. when he gave me the -36 error messages (unable to write) i figure to make same folder with same name as previous and it workt.

but nowhere to see the previous files.
