I have a metal Mac keyboard in my office. I sit on a plastic floor pad but the keyboard still shocks me continuously. I have changed where the Mac is Plugged in so it isn't an outlet issue. Has anyone else had this problem and how do i correct it?:Grimmace:

Hi and welcome to the forum andigold . . .

Does this happen a lot to you ?? i Only ask this bc some people are more conductive than others and the static might just be a thing with you. Does anyone else in the office get a shock off it ??
Sorry i dont know a solution other than to try and ground it out, have i wire of some sort touching the keyboard and the the earth/floor/table at the same time.

It could be as i said 'Just You'

Cheers

Static was my thought too.
Didn't post because my only potential soloution involved body piercings and copper wire . . .

As my mate Tattooed suggests sure sounds like static electricity from your body. Had this problem years ago and turned out was being generated by using a metal hair comb. Now I have no hair so that was one of life's problems overcome!

Can you provide a little more information about when you get shocked? For instance - is it after returning to your chair and sitting down - or can you simply lift your hands and replace them and get shocked?
