When did the ibooks get revamped? I just noticed on apple's website that the 14" ibook now comes with a 1.42 GHz processor and 512 MB of ram!

I think I will have to go and buy now...

They have been out almost a month now. They also have a different GPU, trackpad scrolling, and the HD shock protection thing.

Is there a way to find out which version we have? I got mine a month ago, so I would like to know.

Did it come with both wifi and bluetooth standard? If so, it is probably one of the new ones.

Click on the Apple in the upper left corner --> About This Mac

Take a look at the "Processor" line: if it's a 12" iBook and it says "1.33 GHz Power PC G4" then it's a new one. If it's a 14" iBook and it says "1.42 GHz Power PC G4" then it's a new one.

If it says anything else (e.g 1.2 on the 12" or 1.33 on the 14"), it's an older model.
