iMac on Windows domain

I recently added an iMac 11.3, Intel Core, 4 core, L2 per core 256KB, L3 8mb, memory 16GB. While trying to copy large files/folders from our Windows 2003 network we are receiving "The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -41)." The error crops up at aboul 75% of the file transfer. I have two power mac G5's in the same environment and they are working perfectly. Any help would be appreciated.
