do i have some sort of virus

I was using my mac and i looked down to see the background change from my car to the leopard auroa. I looked in settings and the change picture every so often isnt set to on? I was wondering if anyone has experienced this.

Did you check to see if your car picture was still selected for Desktop?

No temperature and no runny nose?

No it is not a virus as there are no Mac OS X viruses.

Get to the Dr. if you suspect a virus. The flu is going around right now.

Instead of assuming virus (which there are NONE for MacOS), how about trying to troubleshoot the actual issue?

To that end, does anyone know what these control:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.screenreaderd.plist
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.preference.desktopscreeneffect.plist

But, there does seem to be an endless supply of computer users who don't know what a virus is, and therefore assume they have one.

It is still doing it now and it is not set as my car.

Try the suggestion given here - and see if that fixes it. As asked there - have you installed anything that tweaks appearance settings?

I have not done anything to tweak the settings on the computer but the wallpaper is changing more often now .
