I've never used Mail on mac or outlook on window
Since I got my new MBP i thought it'll be a good chance to take advantage of it

Everything was fine when I use Mail
I have like 3000 unread junkmail so i started deleting it to about 1000

but when I get to work to check my email it went to about 2000ish close to 3000 unread mails

I am wondering
when I delete those emails from Mail, does it just delete the emails downloaded to Mail?
or how does Mail work?

it's a bit confusing am i doing something wrong?

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
In Mail preferences, go to account>advanced> and you have "remove copy from server after retrieving a message."
Giving you that option therefore.

The other thing is to look at the settings of your mail client.
ie I use gmail, and have it set to delete my messages once they have been forwarded to Apple Mail.

I'm not too savvy with Apple Mail, and troubleshooting is not my thing with it, but the setup I have works for me :)
