and i got so frustrated because I just formatted it 2 months ago

Having my school recently started, i can't afford another incident like this

So I went and bought my first mac
MacBook Pro 15" 2.2Ghz i7 no other upgrades
I'm REALLY AMAZED by the boot time and the multi touch track pad (i think that's what it's called)

So far I'm pretty happy
but I think I'll need to find some equivalent softwares

Great to hear you are on the Mac side of things. If you need some suggestions for mac equivalent software for what you used to use we'll be happy to suggest apps for you.
There is of course the obvious Office for Mac, but there are plenty free alternatives to this also like Open Office etc

Your certainly on the right track though, it's nice to see someone that isn't saying "OS X doesn't do this but windows does" or "On Windows I could do this why can't OS X do it" etc, also good to see you are trying the software already available to you.

Sounds like you were a Mac person all along and just needed it to happen ;)

Haha
I used to be like that
but I've seen the graphic guys in my company using mac and how cool they look
and obviously there's up and down side of different operating systems so it's expected
also mac is just way better integrated

but yeah
it's been a long way coming

You should do what i did and install windows on a bootcamp partition to ease the transition. When first coming to mac you do miss the familiarity of windows. so if you have bootcamp actually booting into windows helps with that. once you have had your fill reboot into mac osx. Then when you know mac really well you can delete the windows partition and give the space back to mac all in a few clicks.

I dont use windows bootcamp anymore but i do remember how wonderful it was to be able to boot to whichever OS i pleased to sort of ease the pain. picking what os you want lets you have the best of both worlds

Thank you safarisurfer
I thought about that but I'm worried that i might get lazy and start using MBP as windows laptop.
besides, i can't live without the cool trackpad functionality now
