I just installed two new Crucial RAM modules in my Mac Mini and found that my EyeTV recordings are looking choppy. I'd like to run a series of tests on my RAM, but it seems there are quite a few who believe that the ram test on the Apple Hardware test don't test deeply enough.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for software that will run on Snow Leopard that thoroughly tests RAM?

One that I have heard good things about is Memtest available here , it costs $1.39 but from the sounds of it it's worth that very small price!!

Hope this helps

You're right! It was free just a while back. Guess they're trying to get some pay back for development. Oh well, $1.39 is less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks. :)

That link takes me to a $1.39 download, too. Not that I'm worried about spending 1/3rd the cost of a specialty coffee on software, but it doesn't appear to be free.

What I DO wonder about is compatibility. The description says that it works through Leopard and the description was written in Oct of '08. Should still work in SL?

Yep it does work perfectly under Snow Leopard. 64-bit mode and all.
