I'm trying to add my HP PSC 1510 printer, but I get the following: "client error request value too long."

The printer has worked before (years ago). I'm not sure why it's not working now. I uninstalled all the software and drivers, then re-installed it. The same error message appeared. I'm running 10.4.11 on a MacBook.
