i've lost 150GB...?!?!?!

I bought a macbook pro and have only just got round to transfering data to i via ethernet from imac. Being a relative mac novice i managed to get applications and programs across but not itunes or iphoto which is what i really wanted. It says i have an itunes library but I cannot access it. It also says that i have used 223GB out of a possible 232GB yet when i checked where the said 223GB is being used it could only account for 80GB for all users. Disk utility advises me i have 187,000 folders - i don't remember copying that many....
Can somebody please shed some light for me...???

yes...

i used migration assistant and got some info across, just cannot find 150GB after the transfer.....
