Remove computer login

I added a login password. Now I want to remove it so the machine boots directly to the desktop. I am running 10.6.6

No need to remove it.
Open the System Preferences, open Accounts, then click on login options, click on the lock in the lower left corner and then choose your account in the "Automatic Login" drop-down menu.
