I didn't use to have this problem but recently whenever I add an AVI or MPEG etc. Toast shows "Adding files ..." I then get the dreaded spinning wheel of death and after about half a minute Toast crashes :(

Burning music or data discs presents no problems & work as usual.

I have repaired permissions and tried removing the toast preferences file.

This is on an iMac G5 running OSX 10.5.8 & with Perion installed.

Has anyone here had similar problems, any solutions?

Thanks

Also, try a permissions repair. I have known it to solve issues with Toast several times.

@robduckyworth I have version 10.0.8 and I can't seem to find a later version than that

@Kevriano Have tried permissions repair to no avail...

I tried converting the file with Handbrake but this didn't work.

I may try uninstalling and starting from scratch...
