ok my dilemma is to either buy the wifi iPad 2 and use my phone as a hotspot or get the wifi+3G and not to either bother with my phone. I am leaning more toward the wifi+3g b/c I will never have to deal with my phone. Or if the battery is low on my phone I dont wanna kill it.

What would you do? The money is not the issue either way I have to pay a hotspot bill or a 3G bill.. I just want some opinions. Thanks in advance.

If money is not an issue than wifi+3G all the way (probably even if money was an issue).
1) It's more convenient
2) As you have said don't have to worry about running down phone battery
3) I think in the long run it probably is less expensive
4) If you ever travel abroad, since iPad isn't carrier locked you can sign up for a local data plan
5) Since iPad isn't carrier locked you have the potential for more flexibility/choice in service

I'd agree with Razormac. 3G gives you more flexibility than using your cell as a hotspot IMO. I've read that some phones send calls directly to voicemail when the hotspot feature is turned on. Using your phone, you may miss calls.
