Hi guys,

First post here on this forum!:D

I have a 15" Macbook Pro, and is set up with an EPSON WorkForce 520 through a wireless dlink router.

The problem I have is that the printer only prints whenever it is just turned on. i.e., if I leave the printer on for a while (even like 10 min), it wouldn't accept printing request from my computer. The printer driver would still pop up on the computer, but it would get stuck on "printing" status (and actually not printing).

Any idea why is this happening?

Thanks,
Howie

It sounds like the printer may be going into standby or off line. I'm not familiar with that printer but you might check the manual or instructions to see if that's the case and there is a way through the printer settings to turn that feature off or to prevent it from happening.

My Canon printer will do the same thing occasionally but it will usually give me an alert message from the print queue so I can restart it. Also, make sure you have the latest Mac OS X drivers for the printer. Go to the Epson site and check.
