Other than everyone saying they hadn't noticed any battery loss, don't think anyone actually timed it to see how long it would last. So, decided to check mine out and have more than just a general feel for it.

Sounds awesome. Glad you're taking a very "attention to detail" approach.:)

Looking forward to how things finally turn out...but it certainly looks like you're going to get around 10 hours...after a year+ of use.

Sitting at 9:33 now. Still indicating 26% remaining!!

Looking like I should have started earlier. I'm not sure if I can stay up long enough to run it down.

All I can say is wow... I knew the battery didn't seem to have lost anything, but didn't really expect this result.

Had to put it in standby last night - it was already sitting at 11:23 minutes use and still indicating 13% battery remaining.

This morning, upon waking it, still showed 13%, but it rapidly dropped to 10% in just a few minutes. Went ahead and started another Netflix movie to finish it off.

From the time of disconnecting the power cable, I used approximately the following:
2 hrs web browsing - primarily forums
2 hrs web browsing - primarily watching some vids
1 hr reading ebook
2 hrs playing video stored on the device
6 hrs of Netflix streaming

Total elapsed time in use was 12 hours and 59 minutes until it shut down on it's own, along with ~ 6:15 in standby. This, on a 12 1/2 month old iPad. Pretty amazing to me. Never did an original timed test when I got it, so I can't do a comparison.

Wow...almost 13 hours on a 12+ month iPad. Considering that Apple claims 10 hours of runtime on a full charge...certainly rare for a company to understate a devices abilities.:)

Certainly great to hear that battery runtime degradation seems minimal after 12+ months. Not what you would normally expect from a laptop battery...(used daily running off the battery) after 12+ months.
