After doing a bit of searching I cant really find a solid answer on my question.

I recently got a

G3 iBook 12" Dual USB
600mhz 256mb 20GB HD CD-R

Anyways its not running well it freezes alot and I have done a few Disk First Aid attemps at to fix it, I have not saved it very much. Anyways Im trying to load a new OS (from 9.2 to 9.1) and everytime I put the CD in, it turns a few times and then ejects it. Any disc I put in it does this. Is the drive broke? or could this be a driver issue?

I dont work with macs often but always wanted one. I work with Windows boxes all day at work. And Im completely fed up with all the Windows drama. So Im switching to Mac.

Im not sure. Apple used to offer the logic board replacement plan. Note sure if they still do.
