I have a 2011 MBP with Snow Leopard. My present day and date on upper right hand corner show as:

"Fri Mar 4"

Is there any way I can change this to: "Fri 3/4/2011"

Please help :\

There's no way to do it using the System Preferences Date|Time options. You may be able to dig up a third party work around for free, but most that change the format are not free. For example: iStat Menus 3 can do it but it's $16.00.

Perhaps he's a time traveller and needs to know what year it is?
