Macbook screen freezes then turns white

New to the forum,

think most people have this problem, basically wen on my mac, sometimes it freezes then fades to white before coming back to life! I had this problem for a while n now it out of warranty i dont really want to shell out hundreds if it not fixable.

I had my mac in bout 4 months ago for which they took 3 week over, found nothin wrong but ran up £600 with it, but they got it fixed, they put a new motherboard, could this be a repeating problem

No, most people don't have that problem. Sounds like a bad display or logic board. If you tried reinstalling the OS and that didn't fix it, you'll need to take it in for repair.

yeah i took it in and the changed the logic board as well a new set of keys for the board!? strange...shud i back up all my files before reinstalling osx? or do they stay as they are?
