you could burn a vcd with a cd burner, but if the file is too big, you have to split it, which is easily done in quicktime pro. multiple discs for 1 movie will get annoying, I recommend you get a dvd burner ASAP.
True, swapping CDs in the middle of a movie gets old quick. I use Toast to burn vcd's.
Note not all dvd players can play vcd's, or svcd's. My last one couldn't even play photo cd's and it cost way more than the one I have now.
