No, there doesn't appear to be any USB ports.

They have announced the addition of iTunes home sharing and iMovie.

Is it just me or does white not suit the iPad? It looks considerably better in black.

I agree. I do not think white looks that great, IMHO.

I'm new to Apple product launches. Do they allow pre-ordering? (Assuming so) If I pre-order one will that guarantee there will be one held with my name on it at the local Apple store on release date? How does pre-ordering work? TIA.

Not just you Van. I have to agree, then again i never liked it on the iP either . . . . On the iPad there is just too much white and seems to take me away from the screen . . . .

I can see the haters coming out now too lol

You can pre-order via the store to pick it up there. If you order online then its a courier job and they usually like to get them too you before the local store opens. If you order online you can have it delivered to work, home or arrange to pick up from the courier depot

Any news on the rear camera resolution? I assume the front facing will be 1.3 or 2 MP

Is it a direct HDMI out, or will I still have to use a dock? (for example: My kodak camcorder has a mini hdmi direct out).

I like the white iPad. I'd be interested in seeing what it looks like in-person.

I second this. I really like the look of the white ipad.

As per the specs page, it says that iTunes 10.2 is required. So, we can expect iTunes 10.2 shortly then?

Kind of annoying the "tech specs" pages doesn't mention the RAM, but seems pretty safe that it's the same low 256 otherwise it would have been mentioned in the keynote. (sigh)

I wonder if this could be a bottleneck in the overall specs or a limitation for developers who want to take more advantage of the dual core processor and graphics. I just want to have more than a few webpages open without having to reload them.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a plan by Apple to not improve everything at once. Thus allowing a couple of big surprises/announcements at each iPad release event. This time it was cameras, thinner design, dual-core processor, and HDMI out. Next time it'll be RAM, probably an even faster processor (A6 maybe?), and more tweaks. They're "smart" from a business sense by doing that. Keep 'em wanting more, but leave them desiring the new product.

And it also means that previous generation owners are not too sad and can skip a generation safely and save up for the generation after.

Which is precisely what I'll be doing.
I originally planned to wait for the 2, but my wife surprised me with the first gen last year so I couldn't say "no, take it back".
