I have looked many places for a good color laser printer with duplex capabilities for our office iMac and haven't been able to find anything suitable. We purchased a Ricoh (near $2k) a few years ago and it has been a real pain. Couldn't even get a service contract for it. Simply does not work well with a Mac.
It should be fairly simple to operate. The Ricoh had quite a learning curve and none of the ladies of our office liked it at all. We print up to 6,000 pages per month, rarely going over that--often less. I would like to keep the cost at $1,500 or less.
Suggestions?

Thanks!

I can't give you a specific model number, but you first need to look at which high volume color laser printers provide the best support for Mac OS X.

I can name three that do: HP, Canon, Brother. You should be able to find something from those three manufacturers.
